The impact of the change in Google’s algorithm

On August 1st, Google launched an update of its base algorithm. Changes have been seen in high-ranking flows, particularly in the health, beauty, vehicle and several other sectors. However, Google has not commented on what has or hasn’t changed in the algorithm.

Google knows where you are … even if your location isn’t activated!

Even when you disable your geolocation, Google continues to pinpoint your location in order to offer you relevant results (such as, showing hairdressers closest to you when you search for “hairdresser”). Artificial intelligence in the medical field

Google DeepMind, an artificial intelligence solution will henceforth be able to help diagnose eye diseases much more quickly than by human examination. This solution is still in the test phase, however, tests carried out are demonstrating measurable success. 94% of diagnoses and tips to optimize the eyesight of the patients examined are correlated with what specialists were able to conclude.

Facebook partners with Vidpresso


According to TechCrunch, Facebook has partnered with the start-up Vidpresso. This was done without acquiring the company, but rather by hiring the Vidpresso team as well as by acquiring certain functionalities developed by the start-up. This acquisition is part of Facebook’s strategy to catch up with its competitors, Youtube and Twitch.
